Frederick Punchard was born in 1870 in Brighton, Sussex, England to Alfred Punchard and Eliza (Parsons) Punchard. His birth was registered in Brighton in the second quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Parsons.[1]
In 1871 Frederick Punchard (age 0) lived in Brighton, Sussex with his father Alfred (26, Flyman), mother Eliza (29), and three brothers: George (5, Scholar), Alfred (4, Scholar), and William (2).[2]
Frederick's mother Eliza Punchard passed away in 1874, and his father married Sarah Ann Newton in 1876.

Frederick and Louisa had at least two daughters: Louisa (Punchard) Leppard (1897-1973) and Ethel May (Punchard) Coombes (1906-). [A third daughter is associated with them, however her birth registration does not have Etherington as her mother's maiden name and she does not appear on the 1911 census, so it is unclear if she is actually related: May Alexandra Punchard (1902-).]
