Biography

Annie (Punchard) Mitchell was born in Sussex, England.

Annie Punchard was born in 1880 in Brighton, Sussex, England to Alfred Punchard and Sarah Ann (Newton) Punchard. Her birth was registered in Brighton in the last quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Newton.^[1]

In 1881 Anna Punchard (age 0) lived at Nelson St in Brighton with her father Alfred (37, Fly Driver), mother Sarah (36), and seven siblings: Alfred (14, Scholar), Charles (13, Scholar), Frederick (10, Scholar), Alice (9, Scholar), Harry (7[4], Scholar), Lousia (3, Scholar), and Florie (2), as well as lodger Catherine E Brigland (33, Servant Domestic Out of Employ).^[2]
