Violet Marion Morrison (née Pung) was born on 30 April 1912 in Irondequoit, Monroe, New York to German-Americans Joseph A Pung and Margaret E Kroeckel. She had a single younger brother, Robert, who died as an infant. They lived for most of her childhood at 28 Schanck Ave in Rochester.
Violet married Leland Ray Morrison of Plankinton, Aurora, South Dakota on 27 June 1933 in Towanda, Bradford, Pennsylvania. At this time, she was living in the Village of Athens and working as a stenographer. Together Leland and Violet had five children, all born in the Rochester area.
She passed away on 27 April 1939 in Penn Yan, Yates, New York due to childbirth complications and was buried on May 1st in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester.
