"Know all men by these present that we Zachariah Cotton, and Samuel Purcel are _____ and firmly bound unto his Excellency James Garrard, Governor of Kentucky in the full and just sum of fifty pounds current money to be paid to his Excellency aforesaid and his successors to which payment well _____ to be made we bind our selves our Heirs ______ ____ _______ Jointly and Severly firmly by these _______ sealed with our seals _____ dated this 15th day of February 1800. The Condition of the above obligation is such that if there should be no legal cause to obstruct a Marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the above ______ for Zachariah Cotton and Mariah Purcel daughter of Ben Purcel for which a license hath this day ________ there the above obligation to be void Else ramin in full force of Virtue.
