Biography

Alicia (no legal middle name, confirmation name, Marie) Purcell was born in 1952 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. She is the is the 3rd child of 11 children and 3rd daughter of eight daughters James Purcell and Dorothy Abel. Several of the daughters had beautiful natural singing voices (Alanna, Andrea, Anita, Angela) inherited from their father, James F. Purcell, Sr., and their paternal grandmother Mary Hickey Purcell. Alicia became a professional opera and concert singer as her career. After singing professionally she became a university professor teaching classical voice.

Alicia married Glenn Siebert on 31 May 1980 in Munster, Lake County, Indiana. Their children are:
