Biography
Mahlon Purcell was born about 1856 in Pike County, Illinois. He is the son of Benjamin Purcell and Fareby King.[1]
In 1860, Mahlon was in Pleasant Vale, still in Pike county, with his parents and 5 siblings.[1]
Mahlon was living with his parents, farming in Pleasant Vale, Pike county, Illinois, with 8 brothers still at home in 1870.[2]
Mahlon married Luella Lyons January 26, 1887, in Hannibal, Missouri. They were married by S. J. Hanson, Justice of the Peace.[3]
Mahlon and his family were counted in Garden City, Finney, Kansas, in the 1915 Kansas Census.[4]
