Purcell, Ross A., 65, husband of Carol Purcell died unexpectedly, Sat., Jan. 8, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospice Care Unit. He was born in Deshler, OH, but made his home in Lexington. He was the youngest son of the late Gerald M. and Florence Purcell. Ross was a retired plant coordinator for the Asphalt Institute. He was an avid model railroader who had a warm and gentle spirit.
Survivors other than his loving wife include his children, Gerald L. Purcell, Julie A. Austin, and Elizabeth A. Price; one sister, Janet Rees; grandchildren, Michelle, Katie, Will, Sorn, and Allison, Amanda, and Andrea; and two step-sons, Michael Lewis, and Sam (Michelle) Jones. He is also survived by very dear friends Jim and Karen Fawcett and their children Beth and Jake. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert, and sister, Nancy.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Wed. at St. John Lutheran Church by the Rev. Scott Kirchoff. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm Tues. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home- Main Street.
