William was born about 1761. He is the son of Edward Purcell and Mary Slaughter. He was christened on 10 Feb 1762 at St Pauls Deptford Kent. William Purcell ... He passed away in 1834.[1]. William gained the rank of Senior Warrant Officer on 27th Aug 1787 & was assigned as a carpenter on HMAV Bounty.
