Susannah Purdy was born on February 9, 1815 in Nova Scotia, Canada, daughter of Henry Purdy (1789–1857) and Frances Embree (1787–1880).
Her siblings were:
Susannah married Gabriel Smith Purdy (born on May 25, 1812 in Nova Scotia). Their known son was Elisha Purdy (1852–1932).
Susannah died on March 24, 1895 in Nova Scotia, aged 80. She was buried in Purdy Cemetery, Westchester, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia.[1]
