Biography
Henry was probably born in Shalstone, Buckinghamshire, England. He was the son of Edward Purefoy and Anne Fettiplace. [1][2]
There are no records indicating his year of birth. Benolte's Visitations of Kent states that Henry was the seventh son[3] and born after the forth son, his brother William. Nichols The History and Antiquities of the County of Leicester, Vol. IV Part III states William was born on 1 March 1524.[4] If these references are correct Henry must have been born after 1524.
