Grace Selena Pursell (married name Oxley) was born on 26 December 1872 in Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Mary Ann (Crook) Pursell and Joseph Pursell.[1]
Grace was an Anglican missionary and spent time in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia before her marriage.
She returned to Victoria and married Samuel James Oxley in 1901 in Warrnambool.[2] Their children were:[citation needed]
Grace died on 10 March 1936 at Prince Henry Hospital, Little Bay, Sydney, aged 63 years, late of "Camerton", West Pennant Hills.[citation needed] She had suffered carcionoma of the colon.[citation needed] Her remains were buried at the Crematorium Northern Suburbs, Church of England.[citation needed]
'Grace Avenue' in Beecroft, New South Wales is named after her.[citation needed]
She is a cousin of Archibald Benjamin Pursell.
