Putnam-392 and Putnam-36 appear to represent the same person because: Daniel Putnam was born 10 Mar 1741/2, in Pomfret, Connecticut s. of Israel & Hannah.<ref name"Barbour"/> Eben Putnam mistakenly called him David.<ref name"Putnam"/> but it was Daniel who died Aug. 8, 1758 at age 17 and is buried in the South Cemetery in Brooklyn<ref >Hale Collection of Connecticut Cemetery Inscriptions.</ref><ref>See photo</ref>

Daniel is the proper first name at birth. David is a mistake. proper dob is 10 mar 1742

Putnam-800 and Putnam-36 appear to represent the same person because: Daniel Putnam was born 10 Mar 1741/2, in Pomfret, Connecticut s. of Israel & Hannah. Eben Putnam mistakenly called him David, but it was Daniel who died Aug. 8, 1758 at age 17 and is buried in the South Cemetery in Brooklyn

Same person with the wrong birth date on both. Older brother was born Jan 1739, so Daniel aka David could not have been born in March. This is further confused by the mistake of the Putnam Genealogy
