His name is not David and he was not born in 1739, and he did not die in 1759.
Daniel Putnam was born 10 Mar 1741/2, in Pomfret, Connecticut s. of Israel & Hannah.[1] Eben Putnam mistakenly called him David.[2] but it was Daniel who died Aug. 8, 1758 at age 17 and is buried in the South Cemetery in Brooklyn[3][4][5]

Same person with the wrong birth date on both. Older brother was born Jan 1739, so Daniel aka David could not have been born in March. This is further confused by the mistake of the Putnam Genealogy
