Biography

John was born in 1830 to Benjamin Risley PUTNAM and his wife, Eunice PUTNAM.

In 1867, he married Mary Steiner SHOEMAKER. Together they were the parents of several children, including:

1. Israel PUTNAM

John was a Justice of the Supreme Court of New York State.

He passed away in 1898 while visiting his son, Israel in the Philippines.
