Walter John Pyke, son of Marian Pyke, was born on 30 July 1881, in Adelaide, South Australia. (no father's name was recorded) [1]
Walter (son of Mary Ann Pike) died on 16 November 1881, aged just 4 months, in Queenstown, Adelaide, South Australia. [2] His death was reported in the South Australian Weekly Chronicle (Adelaide, SA : 1881 - 1889) Sat 19 Nov 1881 Page 10 [3]
- Walter John Pike, the infant child of Mrs. M. Pike, of Queenstown, was found dead in bed on Wednesday morning. It had for some time been a sickly child, and had been attended to by Dr. Gething. The mother thinks, however, that she must have overlaid it. The city coroner made enquiries into the matter but did not consider an inquest necessary.
