Dianita Pyles born on 13 August 1944 in Pharr, Texas and was adopted at birth by Walter Harvey Pyles and Maria Lorenza Garza; they are named on the Texas Birth Index. Her father died on the day of her first birthday. Dianita was born with Down Syndrome and was living in a nursing home in Brownsville, Texas by 1984. After her mother's death, her uncle, Elijio Arjona, became her guardian. Dianita died on 29 October 2002. She is buried next to her mother at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr, Texas.
PHARR - Diana Marie Pyles, 58, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, at Brownsville Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Pyles and Lorenza Garza Yeadon.
She is survived by a sister, Lillian Gaye Yeadon of San Antonio; one uncle, Elijio (Eloisa) Arjona of Pharr; and two aunts, Dolores A. (Charlie) Heape of South Carolina, Connie (Roque) Enriquez of McAllen; and several cousins.
A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at De Leon Funeral Home of Pharr. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, at La Trinidad Methodist Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Pharr Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of De Leon Funeral Home of Pharr.
