Melesio nació en 1871. Era hijo de Florencio Pérez y Mauricia Cázares. Fue bautizado el 7 de diciembre de ese mismo año en la iglesia parroquial de Zapotlanejo siendo sus padrinos Domingo Cázares y Gregoria González.[1]
