Research Notes

  • Originally there was a profile for a David Quarles connected to David Quales and Judith Unknown as well as an unattached profile David Qualls (now merged into David Quarles) with same birth and death dates as William Quarles. One profile has him married to a Nancy Stroud who had no information added. With research I have determined that the spouse of Nancy was born about 1818, so have removed the merged profiles. BJS
  • Residence source 1774 Buckinghame County, Virginia list of tythables removed. David Qualls is not on this list - there is a, however, JOHN Qualls (relationship unk.).[6] C-213

Quarles-53 and Qualls-439 appear to represent the same person because: Reverse Merge into Quarles-53. The name change is generational and it is accepted that this is David Quarles.
