And on 25 Dec. 1762 William Harrison sold "Francis Quiene, tailor" lots #27 and 28 in Salisbury. The only other Queen mentioned in Rowan Co. in this time frame is John Queen, in 1771.
1764 - On 14 March 1764, "Francis Quine, tailor" sold to Robert Pearis, merchant, lot No. 5 N Square Salisbury, and lots 27 and 28 for 29Pds. each.
1781 - Served 48 days in Light Horse Service from 26 Jan - 11 March,1781 under the command of Col. Francis Lock.
1787 - Iredell Co., NC; 3 Feb. 1787 Robert King sold to "Francis Quin"for 200 Pds. 200 acres on main Rocky Creek, adjoining John & James King,"being part of a tract granted Robert King in 1783.

1797 - Iredell Co., NC, Dec. 1797 - Francis Queen sold to James Queen for 60 Pds (?), 100 acres at the head of Rocky branch, N. side Creek,being land granted Francis Queen by State i n 1794. Also the State granted Francis Queen land on branches of Rocky Creek adjacent his uppertract on the Wilkes Co. line, or ridge of Mountain.
1800 - On the federal census, age 45 and over, for Iredell Co. NC, p.612: 01001-10001000 . No other Queens in Iredell Co.
20 April 1800, Francis Queen sold to George Gordon for 125 Pds. 150acres head branches Rocky Creek, "beginning at the Wilkes Co. line,being land granted James Purviance in 1793 and by deed To Queen." Also another tract of 50 acres beginning at the Wilkes Co. line, being part ofthe 150 acres granted to said Queen.
1803 - In Iredell Co. NC will written 24 March 1799 and filed in 1803(Francis may have died earlier) names "wife Margret...beloved son James(who owns land in Iredell Co. at the writing of the will)....beloved daughters Margret and Elizabeth and son Joseph..when he arrives at 21years of age, ...and son David... and daughter Polly ( my youngest).Will mentions James Mc Broom, names Joseph Nichols executor, and was witnessed by Joseph Millsaps and James McHargue . The three youngest (Joseph, David and Polly) are apparently under 21. Had considerable land .
No date - is referred to as an American Rev. War soldier from NC in Pierces Register, APPENDI X, p. 622, #14 Francis Queen. Also appears in"Roster of Soldiers from North Carolina in the American Revolution,"along with Thomas and William L. Queen.[9]
