James Quick died 31 July, 1844 at 81 years of age, at NJ. Both James and Mary were buried at Veghte cemetery, Duke’s Farm.

Will

Jamea' will with codicils proved 8-16-1844, mentions 4 sons: John S., Jacob J. Peter S. Abraham J., and gives the three latter a farm of 104 acres bordering the Raritan River, south of the villages of Raritan and Somerville, which now comprises part of the famous Duke Park of several thousand acres, founder by James B. Duke, the tobacco magnate. To John, the oldest, he had already given a large farm at Liberty Corners, in the northern part of Somerset County. They had 6 children [G521-6].
