Wilmot was born in 1720. She was the daughter of Paul Quick and Wilmot Curnow. She passed away about 1761. [1]
Wilmot's mother was from a very old family of the district. (Ajohn de Ryswal appears in a list of the Cornish knights who went to the Second Crusade (1147-1149).
In 1327b there was a general subsidy levied on all England, and the lists of the persons taxed for it are the earliest subsidy rolls in existence.
In Towednack Johne de Ryswal (John of Rosewall) was taxed 2/-. This family has been connected with Rosewall Farm (on the east ern slope of Rosewall Hill) for many centuries.
Her husband, John died at 50. Wilmot was able to renew the lease on Trevega and continue to farm. When she died in 1765 there were 19 grandchildren and 5 more born after her death.
Her sons Paul and Robert continued to farm Trevega.
