1851, 10 year old, school boy, Samuel QUICK was living in St Andrews Street, St Ives, Cornwall, England with his parents, James (age 38, Labourer) and Elizabeth (40) and siblings, Israel (16), Richard (13), William (6) and Elizabeth (6)[3]. Also in the household was Margret Jane VEAL (age 18, House Servant).
The Quick family emigrated as Assisted Immigrants to the Colonies, arriving on 24 December 1852 at Geelong, Colony of New South Wales (later known as Victoria) aboard the ship, Victory[4][5]
