Rhoda Quick was born April 15, 1775 in Amwell, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, the daughter of Tunis/TheunisQuick and Catherine Phillips. On July 7, 1796, she married John Barcroft (1772-1814); they had six known children. She married widower Richard Hunt (1756-1838) on July 27, 1825.
NOTE: Some sources claim that Timothy Hunt (1808-1888) was the son of Richard Hunt and his second wife Rhoda née Quick Barcroft, However, Rhoda’s first husband died in 1814; she married Richard in 1825. Rhoda and John Barcoft’s daughter, Catharine Rebecca Barcroft (1812-1893), married Timothy Howell Hunt (1808-1888).
Rhoda died October 18, 1859 in Hopewell Township, Mercer County, New Jersey and was buried Servis-Quick Family Cemetery, Ringoes, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
