George was born on the 19th August 1875, the son of Alfred Edward Quin (1847 - <1905) and Sarah (Bennett) Quin (1854 - 1901) at 5 Hollen Street, Soho, Westminster, Middlesex, and his birth was registered on the 20th September 1875, reference Westminster 1a/477.[1][2][3]
He was christened on the 9th April 1878 in Westminster, Middlesex on the same occasion as his brother John Charles. (Father's name was shown as Alpea Edward Quin not Alfred).[4]
1881 Census on the 3rd April 1881 George was living at 20 Lockington Road, Battersea with his parents Alfred and Sarah, and siblings Alfred, John and Clara.[5]
1891 Census on the 5th April 1891 George was living at 28 Dean Street, Westminster, London with his parents Alfred and Sarah, and siblings Alfred, John, Clara, Ethel, Ada and Nelly. George was a printer.[6]
1901 Census on the 31st March 1901 George was a printer compositor living at 14 Broad Street, Bloomsbury, London.[7]
On the 17th May 1901 he was the informant of his mother Sarah's death. He was living at 14 Broad Street, Bloomsbury, London.[8]
George was married to Margaret Boyd (1874 - ~1940) on the 22nd December 1902 at the Register Office, St Giles, London, and the marriage was registered in the 4th quarter 1902, reference St Giles 1b/1147. He was a journeyman printer and he and Margaret were living at 14 Broad Street, Bloomsbury, London. The witnesses to the marriage were C. Quin and C. Bennett, the former might have been Clara Rebecca (George's sister) and the latter was probably a relative of George's mother Sarah Bennett.[9][10]
On the 15th October 1904 George's son George William was born, and he was a printer's layer-on.[11]
From 1906 to at least 1912 George was living at 7 Chitty Street, Bloomsbury, London.[12][13]
1911 Census on the 2nd April 1911 George, a printer's assistant, was living at 7 Chitty Street, Bloomsbury, London with his wife Margaret and their children Sidney, George, John, Ernest and Elsie.[14]
In 1919 until 1935 George was living at 3 Adela Street with his wife Margaret and various of their children.[15][16]
In the 1921 census George (age 45), Private, was the married head of household at 3 Adela Street, Kensal Road, Kensington, London & Middlesex, England.[17]

On the 28th March 1932 George was one of the witnesses at his son Sidney's marriage to Alice Lucas.[18]
On the 25th June 1932 George was one of the witnesses at his son John's marriage to Hilda Victoria Coulter at St Thomas, Kensington, London.[19]
In 1936 George was living at 117 Bilton Gardens, Harrow, London with his wife Margaret and various of their children.[20]
1939 National Register on the 29th September 1939 George was living at 297 Bilton Road, Greenford, Ealing, Middlesex with his wife Margaret and sons George and Ernest.[21]
George died aged 68 on the 22nd October 1943 at his son George William's home, 297 Bilton Road, Greenford, Ealing, Middlesex, and his death was registered on the 25th October 1943, reference Brentford 3a/373 showing his age as 68. The cause of death was broncho pneumonia, chronic bronchitis and chronic rheumatoid arthritis. His son George William was present at the death and was the informant.[22][23][24]
