In his entry for Saher de Quincy, the Magna Carta Surety Baron, Douglas Richardson refers to a quarrel in 1205-6 between Saher and St Andrew's Cathedral, Scotland over the presentation of a Simon de Quincy to the church of Leuchars in Fife.[1][2] There is no indication how Simon fits into the de Quincy family. He has previously been shown on WikiTree as son of Robert de Quincy and his wife Orabilis but there is no source for this relationship.

I am detaching Simon from his currently shown parents. As stated in the Research Notes, Douglas Richardson refers to a quarrel between Saher de Quincy and St Andrews, Scotland over the presentation of a Simon de Quincy to the church of Leuchars in Fife, there is nothing to indicate how Simon de Quincy fits into the de Quincy family. I will amend the research notes.
