Biography

Daniel Quincy, son of Col. Edmund Quincy II and his wife Joanna (Hoar) Quincy, was born February 7, 1651/52 in Braintree, Massachusetts.[1]

Daniel Quincy became a goldsmith in Boston. He married November 8, 1663 at Boston to Anna Shepard, daughter of Rev. Thomas and Anna (Tyng) Shepard of Charlestown. "Through his wife he inherited from the Tyng family a large tract of land in present Quincy that became the Mount Wollaston Farm where his son settled."[2]

Daniel and Anna (Shepard) Quincy had two children: Anna born 1685 and John born 1689. Daniel Quincy died August 10, 1690 at Boston, Massachusetts.[3][4]
