Biography

James was born in Ireland and lived in Pittston, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. His estimated year of birth was 1825 according to the 1870 census and 1830 according to the 1880 census. James and Katy had a child in Ireland before immigrating to Pennsylvania about 1855. Katy was listed as a widow in 1900.

Research Notes

James may have been born in County Roscommon or in northeastern County Galway.
