When Michael Francis or Frank Quinn was born on 15 April 1844, in Woodstock, McHenry, Illinois, United States, his father, John Quinn, was 32 and his mother, Margaret Grady, was 26. He married Ellen Mary Regan on 10 October 1871, in McHenry, Illinois, United States. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 2 daughters. He died on 30 March 1914, in Springfield, Bon Homme, South Dakota, United States, at the age of 69, and was buried in Springfield, Bon Homme, South Dakota, United States.
