Biography

Joseph was born about 1892 in Dublin, Ireland. He is the son of Charles Quinn and Mary Mallen. (Can't find birth record.)

His family lived in a suburb of Manchester, Lancashire, England before he was born (see parent's biographies) but moved to Ireland sometime between June 1887 & 1892. They returned to the Manchester area before his sister was born there in 1893.

On 03/31/1901 they lived on Edmund St. in Salford (a Manchester suburb), sub-district Pendleton, ecclastical parish Weaste St. Luke.[1]

He was still living with his family in 1911, age 19.[2]

From 1909 through at least 1912, his parents lived at 36 Howard St., Salford, Lancashire. In 1911 their location in Salford was verified as being; sub-district Regent Road, parish Salford.[3]

Joseph had 5 siblings, but was the only child in this family to be born outside of England.
