Christian (Quirk) Ramsay was born in the Isle of Man

Biography

Christian was one of twin girls born in 1866 in Kirk German, Isle of Man. She is the daughter of Robin Quirk and Elizabeth Kelly. In a later USA census, she gave her date of birth as 11 Feb 1866. She was baptised at Kirk German on 16 Jul 1866.^[1]

Christian migrated to the USA in 1889 and it appears she was married at about the same time.^[2]

It appears there were 2 children born in the USA from the marriage to Andrew Ramsey - John Andrew Ramsey, born 17 Jan 1890 in Newport, Rhode Island, ^[3] and Elizabeth (Thurston), born around 1908 in Rhode Island.^[4]

In 1935, she was widowed and living at 166 Washington St, Warwick in Rhode Island. She gave her date of birth as 11 Feb 1866.^[5]
