Katharina was the daughter of Anton Rab/Raab and Maria Klaiber. She was born in Gundelfingen, Bayern.[1][2] She married Johannes Jacob Seyfried in Gundelfingen in 1813[3][4][5][6] then immigrated to Sarata in 1822.[7] Her family was documented in the 1834 Familienbuch[8] and 1835 census[9] after the death of Johannes. See his profile for a listing of children.
She died of consumption (i.e. tuberculosis) on 9 May 1841 and was buried three days later. The death record notes that she was an original Sarata settler from Gundelfingen in Bavaria.[10][11]
See Bach vs. Raab for info about her family name being interpreted as Bach instead of Raab.
