Eugene Raabe Funeral Held Here March 23
Funeral services for Eugene Florian Raabe, 45, of Weimar were held Wednesday, March 23, from Weimar United Church of Christ, with burial in Masonic Cemetery. Rev. Ernest Dean officiated.
Raabe, a lifetime Weimar resident, died Monday, March 21, in Colorado-Fayette Medical Center, of cardiac arrest.
Born March 28, 1942, he was a son of William and Louise (Tipp) Raabe. He was a Weimar High School graduate and former member of the National Guard. He was a member of Weimar United Church of Christ.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Louise Raabe of Weimar; five brothers, Edwin Raabe of San Antonio, William Raabe of Edna, Howard and David Raabe of Weimar, and Paul Raabe of Hallettsville; three sisters, Faye Stech and Aline Caraway of Weimar and Esther Harrison of Colorado; and numerous nephews and nieces. His father, a brother, Bennie, and a sister, Leona Beck, preceded him in death.
Serving as pallbearers were James Caraway, Thomas Raabe, Wesley Raabe, Thomas Hadash, Glenn Davis and Michael Woodward. The Weimar Mercury, March 31, 1988
