Josias Raben Levetzau til Bremersvold og Lekkende was born 20 August 1796 and baptized 4 September 1796 in Beldringe, Bårse, Præstø, Denmark.[1] His parents were Frederik Sophus von Raben, of Beldringe and Lekkende, born 20 December1745, died 13 October 1820 (age 74), and Sophie Magdalene von Qualen, born 18 October 1759, died 5 May 1844 (age 84)
Josias von Raben (age 49) married 22 year old Siegfriede Victorine von Krogh (born 12 April 1823, Copenhagen, Sokkelund, Danmark, died 16 January 1898, Copenhagen, Sokkelund, Danmark, age 74) on 24 June 1845.[2]

Beldringe[4] was for a large part of the 18th century subject to the Vordingborg equestrian district, which was one of a total of 12 equestrian districts in Denmark whose purpose was to pay for the national equestrian. Between 1774 and 1993, the farm was owned by the Raben-Levetzau family. Beldringe was... sold in 1774 to Frederik Sophus Raben. He immediately undertook a major renovation of the old main building.
Josias Raben Levetzau died 1 February 1889 in Amaliegade 15, Garnisons, Copenhagen, Denmark. He was buried in Beldringe churchyard, Bårse, Præstø, Denmark[5]
