Oh you do have a big mystery ! There is a facebook group ( called Hungary Exchange) for people who need help with reading records in Hungary/Slovakia so if you end up with documents that need puzzle solving ,feel free to post them .

Through family history we discover the most beautiful tree in the forest of creation—our family tree. ~J. Richard Clarke

Steve, I do Hungarian research as well. My families are in Abauj-Torna region. Was the grand mother you are looking for in Chicago in 1901 Hungarian ?

Glad you joined WikiTree ! We hope you will like our collaborative genealogy community. There is an introductory WikiTree video that a member created. We do emphasize Sources at WikiTree as well as dates and locations as you build your family tree here . Thank you and if you have any questions , please feel free to ask . Maggie

Hello,I have been researching my family for approx 8 years assisting my mother who has a huge collection of info on her side going back as far as 8 A.D.on LDS printouts .Myself I like to go after the so called deadends. I often have helped friends and/ customers of mine in finding ancestors also. I have been researching alot in Hungary the origin of my gr grandparents and trying to find my grandfathers biological mother in 1901 Chicago. Quite often in numerous directions at once, history buff I presume. Thankyou Steve
