August 13, 1750, Johan Casper Rotter arrived in Philadelphia aboard the ship Edinburg. "Thirty Thousand Immigrants In Pennsylvania" by Rupp, Page 227 and "Pennsylvania German Pioneers", Volume 1 and 2, page 430 and 493 respectively.

March 17, 1762, Casper Rader and Regina Gerhardt sponsored a child born to George and Magdalena Sedelmeyer in Bethel. Bethel Township was located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. NOTE: Lancaster County, Pennsylvania was formed in 1729 with it's eastern part coming from Chester County and which extended west to the present Ohio and West Virginia borders. Lebanon was one of the earliest townships in Lancaster County and in May of 1739 was divided and it's northern part called Bethel Township. In 1752 part of Berks County was formed from the northern section of Bethel Township and later Dauphin County was formed from a northern section of Bethel Township. Eventually Lebanon County was formed from the remainder of Lebanon Township.

August 16, 1765, Casper purchased land in Bethel Township of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [Pennsylvania State Archives at Harrisburg - East Side Applications number 603, Survey A40].

In 1769, Casper owned land located in the east end of Hanover Township of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Tax Roll].

May 23, 1770, Casper purchased land located in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. NOTE: Cumberland County was created January 27, 1750 from parts of Lancaster County and named for Cumberland County in England. Carlisle, the county seat since 1752, was incorporated as a borough on April 13, 1782. It was named for the county town of the English county. Shippensburg was the county seat from 1750 to 1752.

April 12, 1787, Gasper Rheder registered to pay personal property taxes in Montgomery County, Virginia [Montgomery County Tax List 1787].

July 1, 1788, Casper was a plaintiff in a court case in Montgomery County, Virginia.[Montgomery County Court Order Book number 1, Page 322].

September 2, 1788, Gasper Rheder was listed in the Montgomery County, Virginia Tax List B and owned 10 horses and had one male over 16 and under age 21 living in his household. From the list it appears that Henry Rheeder was also included.[ "Montgomery County, Virginia Tax Lists A, B and C for the Year 1788", by Netti Schreiner-Yantis, Page 9].

August 1, 1789, Casper purchased 200 acres of land located in the Cove in Montgomery County, Virginia from Samuel Montgomery - now Wythe County.

February 17, 1790, Casper's home was located on Reed Creek and the Crab Orchard Fork of Little Walker's Creek in Wythe County, Virginia which was formed from Montgomery County, Virginia in 1789. ["Montgomery County, Virginia - Circa 1790", by Netti Schreiner-Yantis, page 90].

April 15, 1791, Gasper Rheder and Rachel his wife of the County of Wythe sold land to Leonard Fisher for 477 pounds of Pennsylvania money - Gasper Rheder and Rachel his wife of the County of Wythe. Casper Reader signed and Rachel Reader made her mark - Casper Ridder and Rechel his wife. [Cumberland Co deed book (Vol 1, Book P page 158-159)]

November 4, 1794, Casper assisted in taking the inventory of the estate of Jacob Repass. ["Wythe County, Virginia Will Books1-2, 1790-1822", by James L. Douthat, et al., Page 5].

In 1798, Casper was a deacon of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Wytheville, Virginia and in 1800 he and three of his sons financially supported the building of the St. John's Lutheran Church [ "Wythe County Chapters" edited and published by James S. Presgraves].

In 1800, Casper lived in Wythe County, Virginia northwest of Brush Mountain and had one male over 16 and owned ten horses and one slave. [Wythe County Tax List].

In 1802, Casper was still living in Wythe county, Virginia according to the tax list.

May 18, 1812, Casper wrote his Will and it was probated in Wythe County, Virginia on August 11, 1812. The Will mentioned wife Regina, sons: Peter, Conrad, Henry, John, William (and William's children Samuel, Mary and Susan), Jacob, Casper, Philip and Daniel (some think this could be David); daughters: Mary wife of Christopher Brown, Catherine wife of Jonathan Leady. Executors were George Flohr, Lewis Wolfort and John L. Ludenburger, witnessed by Leanard Umberger, John Lindburger and Henry Cassell. ["Wythe County, Virginia Will Books1-2, 1790-1822", by James L. Douthat, et al., Page 37].

April 19, 1815, Casper's estate was sold at public auction in Wythe County, Virginia and was recorded December 9, 1817. ["Wythe County, Virginia Will Books1-2, 1790-1822", by James L. Douthat, et al., Page 57].

October 1, 1816, George Flohr, Ludwick Woolford and John L. Lindenberger exec. of Casper Rader dec'd to John Brown - lands left to Peter Rader who released his interest to John Brown - 530 acres Cove Creek, 200 acres part of 1150 to Joseph and Esther Crocket 1752, and 100 acres patent to Rader 1794, 230 acres granted by patent 1802 (the Crocket land was sold to Samuel Montgomery and he to Casper Rader).
