Biography

Richard Peter Rader, 89 of Rollingstone, died Monday, November 14, 2016 at Lake Winona Manor.[1]
Dick was born December 22, 1926 in Rollingstone to John and Florence (Sherman) Rader. He graduated from Holy Trinity High School. Dick served his County honorably in the United States Navy. He worked for many years at Winona Aggregate. He was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Dick was an outstanding baseball player and was known locally as "Lefty Dick Rader." He was also an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and trapping.[citation needed]

He is survived by his siblings, Steve (Connie) Rader, Clare Denzer, Shirley Drazkowski, Mary (William) Schultz, Bea Boysen, Jack (Judi) Rader and Jean Rader; sister-in-law, Dorothy Rader; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Winifred (John) Monahan, Robert Rader, and Isabelle Rader; brothers-in-law, Neil Denzer, Joe Drazkowski, Jay Boysen and Les Miller.[citation needed]

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Reverend Adam McMillan officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with full Military Honors performed by the VFW Post 1287.
Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview is assisting the family with arrangements.
