Wife of John Jephson. Baptised at Sutton on 17th June 1798. Death recorded at Derby 9/1866 (SH 7b 230). At her death on 24th August 1866, aged 68 years, she was at Macklin Street, Derby and shown as wife of John Jephson, Teacher of Music who was also present at the death. Copy of death certificate on file. Census of 1851 shows: Regent Street, Litchurch St Peters, Derby: Henry Jephson, her son, Head, M, 25, Coal merchant; Mary, wife, M, 25: Sarah Anne, dau, U, 3; John Henry. Son, U, 1: Catherine. M, M, 53, Dress maker; William, Bro, U, 32, Pauper/idiot; Sarah, Sis, 19, Dress maker; Martha, Sis, U, 16, House servant. The top listed are born in SinA, Notts, whereas the last two were born in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. ^[1]
