Biography

Birth & Upbringing: Raja was born in Malawi during 1939.
Family: He married Katie.
Military Service: The BSA Police was very much a para-military service and was the nation's first line of defense. Young policemen were thus thrust into armed conflict during the insurgency of the later 1960's and the decade which followed. Those who appear on the BSA Police Roll of Honour (War) are afforded full military honours in the true sense.
Occupation: Part-time policeman - joined the BSA Police Reserve in July 1978; Reg.No.201154; served until January 1978
Demise: Killed in action while serving as a Auxiliary Constable with Auxiliary Reserve. [1] [2].
Burial: He was buried in Karoi following a funeral ceremony on 30 January 1980
