Ernest was born in 1912 in Box Hill, Victoria, Australia, the son of William Ragg and Amy Boulton.[1]
Ernest served in the Australian Army during WW2[2] and was killed in action in Malaya on January 22, 1942. His name appears on the Roll of Honour at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, ACT.[3] and at the Kranji War Cemetery in Singapore.[4]
