Hi Lynda, on Myheritage we are related... I see that you have Sutherlands on your tree. Can you tell me more about your Sutherlands ? My email address is [email address removed]
Kia ora Lynda, I found my way here from gedmatch. Lynda Raina, you showed up closer to me than Anaru Neha, and our Great Grandfather's are brothers even ! I saw your family tree, I didn't recognise any names tho, maybe Levin. I had some tupuna go South in the Heke. Hard with Maori aye, we so inbred. Lol.

How's everything going?

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Forgot to say thanks for the extras on Thomas and Fanny. I have been doing genealogy for a long time and should really be writing a book with what I have instead of messing around on websites.

Hi Lynda

I am Coralie Smith and manage my sister Rachel Harford's ftdna kit. I have to check but I think you match several others I manage as well and all on my paternal side. So this will be through Porter or his wife Herewaka Potae, Ngati Porou and Whanau a Apanui although we are getting lots of Nga Puhi matches too. I think I saw you on gedmatch too? If not that will show all the others I manage and you connect to. You can also put your DNA result here and that would be interesting. I have yet to get all mine on. I see the segments are small and only one or two over 7cM so I think it may be a long way back. However we can keep pursuing who our common ancestor is.

Hello Lynda,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.
