William Preston Raines was born on 5 Jan 1871, probably in in Wayne County, West Virginia.[1] He was the son of James Preston Raines and Amanda Webb.[2]
On 16 Feb 1930, William Preston Raines died at the age of 59 in Wayne County, West Virginia. He was buried in the Frasher Cemetery, located in Fort Gay, Wayne County, West Virginia.[3]
