• Leon Willis Ralls, 90, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park.
• Leon was born March 9, 1920, in Fort Worth. He began his lifelong career at age 14 during the Great Depression at the Fort Worth Stockyards; Leon Ralls Livestock Commission was the last company, at the closing in 1995.
• He retired at Willow Springs Golf Course working and playing golf with friends.
• He had a naval career and served during World War II in Attu, Alaska.
• When Leon was asked at a family reunion what was his greatest accomplishment, he swiped his hand across the room and said, "Most of you are here because of me."
• Leon was predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years, Virginia; son, Dickie; and granddaughter, Morgan Brinkley.
