Charles was born in 1882.

Charles Ralston, Retired Minister, Buried Yesterday Funeral services for the Rev. Charles Newton Ralston, 72, of Rt. 2 Readyville, retired Presbyterian minister who died Thursday night, were at 2 p.m., yesterday at the Cripple Creek Presbyterian church.

The Rev. William Fletcher, the Rev. W. L. Smith and the Rev. Ralph Llewellyn officiated. Burial was in the Cripple Creek cemetery.

Mr. Ralston died in Rutherford hospital after a short illness.

He was a minister 41 years and the last churches he served were Bethesda and New Hope in Williamson county in 1954. He had been a member of the Presbyterjan church 60 years.

Other churches he served included Bethel Springs, Selmer, Bolivar, Marl Bluff, Saltillo, Rose Hill and Purdy, where he also operated a mission school from 1914 to 1934. He also held pastorates in Lousiana and Kentucky.

He was born in Porterfield. His parents were George C., and Fanny Bell McKnight Ralston. Forty-five years ago he married Miss Elizabeth Youree, who survives.

Other survivors are two brothers, George G. Ralston of Readyville and Sam D. Ralston of Nashville; three sisters, Mrs. G. H. Hooper, Melvindale, Mich., Misses Maggie and Juriah Ralston, both of Porterfield.

Nephews served as active pall-bearers. Honorary pallbearers were officers of New Hope, Stones River, Bethesda and Cripple Creek churches.

Woodfin funeral home was in charge.
