Caledonia, Aug. 8 - Miss Jane B. Ralston, 86, died Thursday morning at her home in Caledonia. Death was caused by a heart attack following a two-year period of failing health.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ralston, she was born in Caledonia township, July 14, 1854, and had lived in that vicinity all her life. She had been a life member of the Willow Creek Presbyterian Church and was active in the work of the church as long as her health permitted. She was a member of the Ladies Aid society in Caledonia and the Missionary society of Argyle.
Surviving are three brothers and three sisters: George T., Peter A., and Charles W. Ralston, and Mrs. Elizabeth Scudder, Mrs. Nettie McEachran and Mrs. Margaret Graham, all of Caledonia; and seven nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p. m. at the Ralston home and at 2 p. m. at the Caledonia church. The Rev. Alan Darling will officiate and burial will be in Willow Creek cemetery.[8]
