I see that you have been adding pre-1700 profiles using "Ancestry.com" as your source. This is not considered an adequate source for pre-1700 profiles.
Would you please review the Pre-1700 Quiz and the explanations about the sort of sources WikiTree is looking for, as well as our Help page on Sources.
Because pre-1700 ancestors are usually shared by many descendants, collaborating with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Review the project pages to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)
Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles that you manage or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).
I manage the profile page for Joan Lindsay, Author of Picnic at hanging rock. I just got a message that she will be featured in the connection finder this week. Just wanted to give you the heads up as you are only 7 degrees away :)
Cheers
Leisa (Im 19 degrees away from you, maybe that will decrease after this week?)
Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Free Space pages are wiki pages for supplementing your family history. They can be used to profile anything of significance such as a special pet, a meaningful event, a school you attended, a family heirloom .... They're "anything pages".
Not sure what to include in a profile? Check out our Biography Ideas and Styles and Standards help pages. Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
Sometime you may run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
When adding an individual to your tree, dont forget to add as much information as possible regarding the source of that information.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page!

How To Use WikiTree is a good place to start. It is a step-by-step-guide to WikiTree basics. Our G2G Forum is searchable or you can post a question there. The Help Index is also an important place to find how to do most tasks.
If you would like to contribute your family's tree and you agree with our Honor Code (click the link to it in the drop-down menu in "Help" at upper right), volunteer here on your profile and we would be glad to add you to our WikiTree community. Donna
