Biography
31635. SARAH RAMBO was born before 1799, and is possibly the Sally Rambo who married Edward W. Gill in Edgefield Co., SC on 29 Jan 1810. Edward was born about 1785 in VA, served in the SC militia in the War of 1812, and received Bounty Land Warrants 25737 and 32770. He died 27 Sept 1866 in Ft Gaines, Early Co., GA [now Clay Co.]. His widow drew pension WO-10349SC. Sarah appears on the 1880 census of Clay Co., age 89, and a 1885 Clay Co. deed refers to property occupied by Mrs. Sarah A Gill. "I am told they had 13 known children, my wife's line goes through Caroline Matilda Teresa Gill".
