Biography

Katt was born in Texas and has 6 brothers and sisters. Her father then moved them out to Arizona. She was married, but divorced in 1996. She had two biological children (Mick/Briana) with Glenn Robertson. She then adopted 5 more children in attempt to help those less fortunate than her. Katt spent many years as an adult educator, training director, and career coach in corporate America, working for fortune 500 companies. She spends most of her time now focusing on her calling to help special needs children.

My biggest challenge I am working on right now is that of Elias Rambo, b. 1808 - 1809ish. You can see his profile here on Wiki with my theories, or you can join this working page on Facebook.

BALLARD
Looking for the mother of Jacob H Ballard. Lived in NC. Born around 1815. Dad was Reuben Ballard.
BECHTOLD
Looking for parents for Adam Bechtold/Becktold. Born around 1820, husband of Anna Gasser.
CONNOR
According to Ancestry, which can be very flawed, Ruth Connor married John Alexander Cromwell.. but I cannot find out if this maiden name is accurate, or who her parents were. She was supposed to be born around 1749 - 1750ish... she apparently married Cromwell in 1769 in Pasquotank NC.
CROMWELL
According to Ancestry, which can be very flawed, Ruth Connor married John Alexander Cromwell.. but I cannot find out if this maiden name is accurate, or who her parents were. She was supposed to be born around 1749 - 1750ish... she apparently married Cromwell in 1769 in Pasquotank NC.
DUNAVANT
George Sylvestor Smither's wife, but not much is known about her. The spelling of her name is a huge roadblock, although my mother insists that it is Dunavant, I have seen spellings of Conovan, Donovan, Donavan, etc. He first name is also confusing. Millicent is listed, but so is Elizabeth, Miller, and Margaret. So confusing. Anyone have any info?
GASSER
Looking for the mother of

Anna Barbara (Gasser) Becktold (abt. 1826 - abt. 1887) - Daughter of Henry Gasser. Wife of Adam (Becktold) Bechtold. Mother of Elizabeth Anna (Becktold) Zweifel.

HAUPT
I am looking for a Joyce Lynn Haupt b. 1944. I created a profile here for her Haupt-266. A very awesome person is looking for her. It is good news. :)
KIDD
Looking for mother and father of Catherine Kidd. Married to Jacob Ballard. Born around 1820 - lived in NC.
KINSER
Looking or information on Mariah (Etter/Ealy) Kinser-Hayes from Tennessee. Looking for her mother and father. Born around 1818.
MEISE
Anna Meise, married to Neuman, Nuemann, Nieman, Niemann, in 1801ish - in Niese. Looking for her parents.
RAMBO
Gunnerson Rambo came from Sweden... but where/what happened in Sweden. The Rambos were not referred to as "Rambo" in Sweden, so what was their name? Who were their ancestors?
SCOTT
William H Scott was born around 1840 in Mississippi. Married to Hannah Scott. Father of Emma Hodges (Scott). Died in AK - Looking for his parents.

I am also looking for his wife's (Hannah's) maiden name and her parents as well.

SMITHERS
Who was George Sylvestor Smithers and his wife (I will create a separate tag for her). His wife had many different spellings of her maiden name which makes it very confusing. She also seems to have multiple middle names, Adaline, Miller, or Elizabeth. Her first names are Millicent, Margaret? My mother, her decedent - says she was only married once? Any info?
SURNAMES
Rambo, Vann, Hayes, Smithers, Dunlap, Hodges, Clark, Ballard, Dunavant, Niemann, Clark, Kinser, McAulpin
WILEY
Captain James Oliver Wiley - abt 1741 - 1802. He was married to Mary Shelby. Anyone know who his parents are?

You may have been hard at work getting connected to family members who are already here and adding those who were missing. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now.

There's a fast and easy way to access those profiles using the Watchlist. So, this week we're going to look at How to Manage Your Watchlist.

Please let one of us know if you have questions! Just click my name above the comment, then ask in the comment section of my page. We want to help!

Thanks, WikiMessenger Cindy

You've been here for several weeks now! We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know us a little better.

You're probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. We know that collaboration isn't always easy. So, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer.

Don’t hesitate to ask questions as that is the only way we gain knowledge!

Thanks, WikiMessenger Cindy

PS Good work so far! Have you had a chance to see on your ancestors profiles on the bottom right is "Research" where you can find sources and more information? Give it a try sometime!

Hey! A couple of cousins I knew were famous but once I got several lines connected to the big tree then I found even more famous cousins and too many to put on my profile so made a free-space page to hold them all. :)
