Note

It appears that Barthel Remy was married twice. His first wife was Anna Elizabeth with whom he had six children Elizabetha Catherine, Magdelena, Abraham Adam, Juliana Margaretha, Johann Nikel and Melchor, before she died in 1716.

He then married Christina Schunk in1718 when she was 35 years old. They appear to have had two more children Jacob and Lorentz.

Barthel and Christina emigated to America in 1737. From the passenger list they brought five children Jacob and Lorentz from their marriage and Elizabetha, Juliana . and Johann Nikel fromhis first marriage.

It appears that Melchor and Abraham Adam came at different times on separate ships

A problem with this is that Johan Nikel is included on the 1737 passenger list but he married had a family and died in Germany.

Bartel Reme died on the trip from Europe aboard the ship Virtuous Grace. The passenger list [1] includes his family. The list includes his wife and children. Jacob is also included separately noting he was 18 years old.

Bartel Remie 54 (Ramey 231). Christina Schunck (Schunck-1), Elizabetha Catharina (Ramey-110), Juliana Margarethe (Ramey-240), Johan Nickel (Ramey-183), Jacobus (Jacob) (Ramey-173), Lorentz (Ramey 174)

Another list of passengers on ship Victorius Grace is found in the book A collection of upwards of thirty thousand names of German, Swiss, Dutch, French and other immigrants in Pennsylvania from 1727 to 1776 [2]

The book The Remy Family in America mentions Jacob and his descendants but none of the other children [3]
