John was on board with his wife, (4) sons and (2) nephews ... The "Annabella" ran aground on September 27, 1770 at Darnley Point, PEI sinking the ship and cargo with no loss of life ... This Family was from Campbelltown, Argylshire, Scotland ...
Her mother Rebecca died when she was around 5, and it isn't known what happened to her father. Her brother Upton went to the States.
Mary Jane arrived in Saint John, New Brunswick in 1881 as a girl; she could be the Mary Ramsay born PEI in Saint John, NB in 1881, in the household of Mary and Elijah Wilson. She married Charles Rothesay Dixon on November 1st 1884 in Chipman, New Brunswick. The couple had at least (5) children, (4) of whom grew into adulthood. They lived mainly around the city of Saint John until about 1916 when they moved outside of the city to Glen Falls to be near their Daughter Ella Watson and family. They spent the rest of their lives in Glen Falls.
