Nicholas Ramsay of Dalhousie, Carrington (both in Midlothian) Foulden (Berwickshire) and Carnock, was the son of Sir Alexander Ramsay of Dalhousie and Nichola Ker. On the 6th May 1517 Nicholas Ramsay has sasine of the feudal barony and lands etc., of Foulden, Berwickshire, with the patronage of the church, etc.[1]
He married, firstly, Isobel Livingston by whom he had nine known children.
He married, secondly, Christian Ross, daughter of Ninian Ross, 3rd Lord Ross of Halkhead, on 5 November 1552.[2][3] No known issue.
Nicholas Ramsay also had an illegitimate daughter, Margaret, who married John Nasmyth from Prestonpans.
