Born 12 MAY 1854. Lot 11, Prince Edward Island. [1] There were two entries for John Archibald, son of Robert Ramsay, in the PEI Baptismal Index. In both, he was born in 1854 in Lot 11.

There are left to mourn besides his widow, one son and two daughters, Mr. Herbert W. Ramsay, of Truro, N.S., Mrs. Preston Ellis, Tyne Valley, and Mrs. Elma McNeill of Summerside; also the following brothers and sisters:- Rev. E. Ramsay, of Long Reach, N.B., Mrs. J. Harrington and Mr. Thos. Ramsay of Boston; Mr. Robert Ramsay and Mrs. William Huestis, of Summerside; Mrs. Neil McPhee and Mrs. William of Coleman.[3]
